Lilyblaze Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right. Lilyblaze walked along, tail high up in the air. Yesterday had been spent sleeping. It was to be expected after a night of sitting by the camp in silent vigil. However now she was fully rested. The she-cat smiled to herself. Lilyblaze that was her name now. No longer was she Lily paw. She closed her eyes for a moment, remembering as Buzzardstar spoke those immortal words. Words passed down from cat to cat, reaching back to beyond any memory. Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give your warrior name. Lilypaw, from this moment you will be known as Lilyblaze. StarClan honours your courage and commitment and welcomes you as a full warrior of SkyClan. In the young she-cat's mind, the echos of her new name being called filled her head again. It had been the most amazing moment of her life. She was Lilyblaze, protector of the weak. She knew that her virtues and been well named. She lived to right the wrongs that were done. The kits and the weak of the forest where hers no matter what clan they belonged to. Or even if they belonged to a clan. As a warrior she committed herself to these. Some things she knew were above the clan. The first was doing what is right, the second was love. Love knew no boundareis, clan or gender.

Nightfeather was walking by herself. The sun was shining warmly on her pelt, and it was a nice day. She closed her eyes and purred, letting the sun soak into her body and give her energy for the even the biggest catch. Right now she was out hunting, looking for food for the clan and herself. Her amber eyes shot open when she heard the fluttering of wings, and saw a blackbird fluttering about looking for food. Nightfeather instantly dropped into a hunting crouch, her body rigid with concentration. The blackbird had turned it's back on her. It obviously hadn't noticed Nightfeather. With a moment of wiggling her rump, Nightfeather sprung, launching her powerful legs into the air as the blackbird took off. She caught it easily and fell back to the ground with it, ending it's life in one quick nip. "Thank you, Starclan." Nightfeather purred as she shook feathers out of her pelt. Her amber eyes caught sight of Lilypaw, no Lilyblaze, padding proudly a couple tail-lengths away. The young she-cat had just been made a warrior last night, and she seemed pretty proud of herself. Nightfeather buried her catch under a shrub and ran after the she-cat. "Hello, Lilyblaze! How is your first day of being a warrior?" Nightfeather asked. She sat down to lick a paw and waited for a reply.

Lilyblaze Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right. Lilyblaze looked up at Nightfeather as the other she-cat padded up. The young warrior beamed at her. "Oh, it's quite good." She said brightly. "I saw a hummingbird. I thought about hunting it, but then the sun hit it and I decided that since it was so small and so pretty that it should live. It makes barely a mouthful, and it is truly a lovely animal." She paused. "How are you?" She asked. "Thinking of taking on an apprentice?" she paused a bit more and flicked her tail. "I suppose I'm too young yet. though I'd love to train a young kit." She said. "I really would." She smiled at Nightfeather. "I can't wait for the Gathering. I suppose I'll get to go along, since I'm a new warrior and what not."

Nightfeather purred. The new warrior was apparrently very happy. "Oh, it's quite good." Lilyblaze she meowed. "I saw a hummingbird. I thought about hunting it, but then the sun hit it and I decided that since it was so small and so pretty that it should live. It makes barely a mouthful, and it is truly a lovely animal." The she-cat finished. Nightfeather smiled warmly. "I agree, hummingbirds are indeed beautiful creatures." She purred. "How are you?" Lilyblaze asked her. "I'm very good. The day is so beautiful it just warms my soul." Nightfeather meowed. Her eyes stretched wide when she was asked about taking an apprentice. "Oh, I'm not ready for that. I may not look like it, but im not much older than you." Nightfeather pointed out. "I love kits, but I would much rather have kits than train my own apprentice. But what happens, happens." She meowed. "I suppose I'm too young yet. though I'd love to train a young kit." Lilyblaze told her. "You might be young now, but im sure that Buzzardstar will give you an apprentice soon enough if you prove you are worthy of one." Nightfeather told Lilyblaze, warmth in her gaze. Lilyblaze smiled at Nightfeather. "I can't wait for the Gathering. I suppose I'll get to go along, since I'm a new warrior and what not." Lilyblaze told her. "I am quite excited for the gathering as well! I'm sure you will go. As you said, new warriors usually go." Nightfeather meowed. She looked at Lilyblaze and waited for a reply.

Lilyblaze Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right. Lilyblaze smiled a bit at her, then frowned slightly. "I've been watching that new apprentice. Blinkpaw, he scares me." She said. "He seems... empty." She trembled slightly and looked at the other warrior. "I don't trust him." She then tried to smile a bit more. "Kits would be nice, though I think I'd like to get being a warrior under my paws before I even think of kits." she mewed. "I'm still to young. I just became a warrior after all." She said, eyes fixed on Nightfeather. She padded along beside the she-cat, then paused a bit. She wasn't even sure if she would ever have kits. She wanted love for sure, but kits. Maybe to do her duty by the clan. But other than that... not so much. "Do you want to hunt together?" she finally asked, a blush at the tips of her ears and on her nose. She looked at the other cat. "Do you have any lucky toms that you've got your eye on?" She mewed, tail a-twitch.

Nightfeather looked towards Lilyblaze as she spoke again. "I've been watching that new apprentice. Blinkpaw, he scares me." Lilyblaze meowed. "He seems... empty." Nightfeather nodded. She watched Lilyblaze tremble slightly and then look at her. "I don't trust him." She finished. Nightfeather nodded. The apprentice did seem strange, but she hadn't noticed much. Lilyblaze seemed to want to get off of the subject, and spoke again while smiling. "Kits would be nice, though I think I'd like to get being a warrior under my paws before I even think of kits." Lilyblaze told her. Nightfeather smiled, purring. "I love kits! I would give anything to have some of my own one day." Nightfeather purred. "I'm still to young. I just became a warrior after all." Lilyblaze meowed. Nightfeather let out a little mrrow of laughter. "Of course! After all, you just became a warrior last night. Of course you should focus on your warrior duties for a while." Nightfeather laughed. She continued padding along, her eyes closed while she purred happily. "Do you want to hunt together?" Lilyblaze asked her. "Of course! I need some more prey to add to my pile. Prey is pretty plentiful at the moment." Nightfeather meowed. She felt Lilyblaze's eyes on her, as if to ask her a question. "Do you have any lucky toms that you've got your eye on?" Lilyblaze asked her. Nightfeather's amber eyes flashed open at this question. Her fur instantly went hot and her eyes flashed down to her paws. "I-I don't think so. I mean, there are some h-handsome toms in Skyclan, but I don't think any of them would be interested in m-me..." Nightfeather squeaked. Though she wanted to have kits, Nightfeather hadn't thought about the right mate yet. Her eyes stayed on her paws in embarrassment, and she waited for Lilyblaze's reply.

Lilyblaze Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right. Lilyblaze froze as she was walking along. There was something wrong, a sour scent on the air. It was a tomcat. It was something that she hadn't ever smelt before. Well more like someone. She flicked her tail then shook a bit. It was nothing. She smiled at Nightfeather. "Yeah, I will." she mewed. "Duties, like hunting and such." she chuckled. "I bet I can catch more birds than you." She flirted, her eyes bright. She didn't catch the scent of the tom again so she went on her way, happy to be out in the sun with a friend. Lord Tiberius I do know the meaning of the word "mercy"; I simply choose not show them any. The tom crouched low. There were two of them. He grinned sickly. He turned to his mate. "I need you to occupy the dark one first." he told her, his eyes sharp. He grinned. "But don't kill her." He added. "maiming is fine though love." He chuckled. "On my mark..." He mewed to her.

The she-cat, crouching beside him, squinted her eyes and smiled smugly. Nera, her name, did this with hermate a lot of times. Distract the dark cat, and the other will be dealt with,Nera thought, grinning even bigger. she waould have to wait for the signal. Nera swished her tail, waiting for the right time to strike. Oh, how she would love to feel the flesh under her claws as the cat screamed. Nera tried not to growl a remark at her mate. It would be hard enough just to capture the small one, and having a witness would just send some cats to hunt them down, just like prey. But it had it's advantges too. Getting chased around was like spotting a raven in a flock of crows. They are harder to catch than you think. Nera waited. The two cats would split up soon, and then they would make their move.

Nightfeather watched as Lilyblaze paused, and wondered if she scented something. Nightfeather smelled the air, but sneezed as a small feather from the blackbird that she had caught went up her nose. There was no way she could smell much until the feathers were cleaned out of her pelt. She padded along beside Lilyblaze, happy to be out hunting on such a nice day. Lilyblaze smiled at her. "Yeah, I will." She meowed. "Duties, like hunting and such." Lilyblaze chuckled. Nightfeather purred and continued along until Lilyblaze spoke again. "I bet I can catch more birds than you." Lilyblaze flirted. Nightfeather looked at her, a challenge in her eyes. "I'll take you up on that challenge! I'm the best bird catcher in the whole clan!" She boasted, laughter and warmth sparkling in her eyes. "You go that way, and I will go this way. If you run into any trouble, just call for me!" Nightfeather yowled as she ran the opposite direction from Lilyblaze. She purred with happiness, hoping that she would run into a bird soon.

Lord Tiberius I do know the meaning of the word "mercy"; I simply choose not show them any. "Now my love." Tiberius whispered. "Hold the black one as long as you can. I intend to have her as well. But if you can't. If she fights too much. Let her run back to her pathetic clan. Give her some good scars too, maybe blind her. These clans need to know who is the true rule of these lands." He grinned, a purr rumbling from his chest. The black tom slid like liquid silk from his hiding spot, tracking after his target. He crouched low, like he was stalking a mouse. Not a sound could be heard from the tom. Even the wind was in his favour. Lilyblaze couldn't smell a thing from him. The she-cat wouldn't even know what hit her until it was far too late. He stepped on a twig and swore under his breath. Lilyblaze Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right. Lilyblaze cocentrated on trying to find a plump, and large bird to bring back for the clan. Maybe even two. She grinned, she'd show Nightfeather what a great huntress she was. She would soon be yowling, letting the black she-cat know that she had caught the most prey of all. It was a silly game, but still a fun light heated thing. And it meant more prey for the clan. It was good for everyone. Well, except the birds. But they were put here to be prey. And plus, Lilyblaze knew that when she caught the weaker ones the stronger would survive and it would make any birds that came after stronger. So it was good for everyone, as a whole. Then she heard a twig snap. "Nightfeather?" She mewed, her tail flicking about. "Nightfeather... is that you? This isn't funny!" She said, eyes darting. The next thing she saw was a massive blur of silver and black bearing down on her. There was a paw holding her face down before she could even scream.

Nera slinked away from her mate, a hungry glint in her eyes. Tracking down the black cat was harder than she thought. The wind was strong, but it blew the scent right to her. Trying not to curse, Nera pressed on, gritting her teeth. It was hard to walk carefully, because twigs and debris would blow under her paws, making a slight crunch as she went. The black cat stopped. Frightened she had been caught, Nera dove into a juniper bush. Nera watched as the sleek cat leaped into the air and caught her claws on a tree branch. Scrambling up the tree, she chased after a plump robin. The robin took flight, but the cat snagged the bird's wing and came crashing down out of the tree. The landing was so hard, the bird died instantly, but the cat proudly picked it back up. Now's my chance, Nera thought, licking her lips. She crept up behind the cat, and lashed out, hoping to rake her claws down the cat's back.

Nightfeather purred, happy that her catch had been satisfactory. She heard a crunch and turned around in time to see a large black she-cat launch itself at her. She instantly flew back, her claws unsheathing and her pelt poofing out. The she-cat's claws raked her pelt, and Nightfeather let out a yowl of pain. She turned on the black she-cat, hissing with hatred. "Who are you and what are you doing on Skyclan territory?" She screeched. Nightfeather glared at the she-cat, and then realized that Lilyblaze was alone. "Lilyblaze!" She called desperately. "What did you do with Lilyblaze?" She growled, her voice trembling in hatred and the fear for her friend. "I swear, if you put one paw on her..." Nightfeather snarled. Seething with anger, Nightfeather launched herself towards the black she-cat's throat. She could see nothing but red. If Lilyblaze is hurt, im going to kill any cat that harmed her. I'm going to slash their throats and watch them bleed at my feet. I.... I... Nightfeather screeched inside her head. Inside Nightfeather's heart, it felt as if it had broken in two. If Lilyblaze was killed, she would have no reason to be alive. Her heart realized that she really did love Lilyblaze. And as long as she was alive, no cat could touch her. Nightfeather prayed to Starclan that she could get a hit on the horrible she-cat.

Lilyblaze Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right. Lilyblaze lay on the ground, her sides slowly rising and falling as she bled from what felt like a thousand wounds. She had barely been made an apprentice when they had left the old territory. She had never truly known war, known what it was like to be attacked. And within her own territory. A cat was supposed to feel safe in her own clan lands. Tears ran down her muzzle and mixed with her blood in the dirt around her body. She whimpered softly, trembling. "N-nightfeather?" she sobbed, calling out. The answer chilled her. Lord Tiberius I do know the meaning of the word "mercy"; I simply choose not show them any. The tom eyed the she-cat he had just attacked. She had been young and sweet. He purred happily, his tail flicking. His cold eyes locked on her body as she spoke, asking for someone called Nightfeather. Tiberius supposed that was the black cat his mate was handling. He flicked both his ears back and laughed in a chilling manner. "She's dead. My mate killed her. And you, my pretty little thing... are going to bear my kits." He paused. "If you tell anyone what I did, I'll hunt you down and kill you." He snarled and raked his claw across her face causing her to let out a pained yowl.

Nera smiled sweetly, a trickle of blood coming down her face. "Yes, your friend is fine, my dear. She'll just be a bit busy with my mate." Nera knew that the rage inside of this cat would break out soon, but it would make her lose control. "Ah, are you the one called Nightfeather?" she asked sweetly, trying to annoy her. No response. A secret grin came across her face. "So, I guess this is it. We will fight, but I think it will be too late to save, what do you call her, Lilyblaze," Nera purred. She said 'Lilyblaze' like it was poison, spitting it out before it took effect. Nightfeather gave a warning growl. "Oh, okay. I see you're the impatient kind. If you want, we can go right now,"Nera said, scraping a mark into the ground. It was the sign of their kingdom, giving Nera good-luck. Nera raised her hackles, ready to pounce when the time is right. Oh yes, blood will spill today.

Nightfeather's eyes widened when she heard the black she-cat speak as blood trickled down her face. "Yes, your friend is fine, my dear. She'll just be a bit busy with my mate." The cat told her. "What do you mean, 'busy with your mate'? What are you doing to her?" Nightfeather screeched. She gasped with shock when the she-cat spoke her name. "H-How do you know my name?" She growled, her voice full of shock. A grin crossed the black she-cat's face. "So, I guess this is it. We will fight, but I think it will be too late to save, what do you call her, Lilyblaze," The she-cat said, spitting Lilyblaze's name like poison. Nightfeather growled with hatred. This cat didn't even know Lilyblaze, yet she spat her name with such hatred? "Oh, okay. I see you're the impatient kind. If you want, we can go right now," The black cat spoke, drawing a sign in the dirt. Nightfeather didn't understand the symbol, but she knew that the she-cat was looking to fight as she rose her hackles. Nightfeather unsheathed her claws. "I think I understand why you speak Lilyblaze's name with such hatred. You must be jealous that your mate would rather be with other she-cats than you!" She taunted, spitting out the words with pure mockery. Oh, this she-cat would pay. Nightfeather looked at her already blood-stained claws. These claws will spill blood today. She told herself. No matter what it took, Nightfeather knew that she had to get Lilyblaze back from the paws the of that crowfood-eating flea-pelt. She growled and sprang, ready for anything that came her way.
