Mmmkay See how I have newer characters. They need relationships too! Okay so here we have Berrypaw of Breezeclan: He's a bit of an idiot Hardcore adventurer, and believes he isn't afraid of anything or anyone, he really doesn't know how to pick on people his own size. However, Berrypaw is kind, and playful, and but really likes to get into other peoples business. He's very very nosy concerned for the affairs of his clanmates. He may be so brave as to ignore other cats when they back out of an adventure and say things like "Fine, I'll go by myself." and then sulk the rest of the moon due to the fact that no one came with him. He's also looking for a future mate of course, which, she might have to try very hard to get his attention, because he's a ladies man, and loves to flirt with as many female cats as he can count. Lover must be a part of the clan he is in His bio: ClickFeatherkit of Mistclan: She isn't exactly shy, but she doesn't talk much to cats she isn't close to. She is a very spaced out cat, and is usually found looking at the sky for hours. Of coarse that is, if she isn't chasing around her brothers, following them around like a loyal puppy. Featherkit is a very worrisome cat, all she really does is worry and worry and worry, especially about her brothers. She has a lack of confidence in the clan, as well as about everything else, and hardly believes anything is going to work out good in the very end. If she does get a friend other than her brothers, she will be VERY possessive of them too, and might try to follow them around as well. She is also a suck up very polite she-cat and has to try very hard to offend people without apologizing after. She too could do with a future lover, of curse, she's much too young to fall in love right now, but in time, young grasshopper, in time, she will grow up to have an empty heart in need of filling. This cat must be a part of her own clan. Her Bio: click

I am going to be creating Mintpaw in BreezeClan who could be his future mate down the line. She is a bit reckless and a total tomboy so any kind of advance on her will either be shot down or teased. So perhaps that could make her seem different to him in the long run?

Oooh I think that sounds excellent. Sure! I think being shot down or teased would both upset him, and he'd find her exciting at the same time xD

Spottedleaf was indeed the closest thing to a mary-sue, but I don't think she quite makes the cut. Everyone goes on about how Spottedleaf has a long description, I think it could be because some kids might not know what a tortoise-shell cat looks like, and are trying to make it better for children to invision it. If you look at the wiki pages, the descriptions are huge for cats like these; Bluestar, Firestar, Lionblaze, etc. When Spottedleaf was an apprentice, she wanted to be a warrior, but it didn't quite work out for her. With Thrushpelt scolding her for helping Featherwhisker, and not quite getting the trick of hunting, she felt down and a bit upset that she wasn't able to fullfil this. Later, she begged Sunstar to bring her to her true calling, to be a medicine cat. This is where everyone thinks the reign of Spottedleaf's "stalkerish" behavior begins. At the end of Bluestar's Prophecy, we can see that Spottedleaf was a very active and hard-working medicine cat. She was descried as exhausted, and she had helped the cats with their green-cough, having to take over this big epedemic when Featherwhisker had died. We also see she is to recieve her first prophecy, and it was the "Fire Along Shall Save Our Clan". She also winds up being the cat to send a lot of advice and prophecies later on in the series as well. At the beggining of "Into The Wild", we also see her worth as a strong medicine cat, taking care of all of the cats that got injured at the battle of Sunning Rocks. She's also seen as comforting, talking about the kits to come in new-leaf, and reassuring that everything will be okay. When Ravenpaw is injured, she also shows this comforting on Goldenflower, reassuring her that his wounds weren't fatal. She is also seen to have a sense of humor, lightly teasing Tigerclaw when he tries to to wake up Ravenpaw. After the battle of ShadowClan near the beggining, she tries to save Lionheart, but adresses the fact that he is too far gone. The loss of the deputy at her own paws must have caused some grief , correct? Later in the first book, her life is cut quite short, only living about 3.5 human years. She had a strong caring for kits, and would fight to save a kit, even though she knew she wasn't a fighter. She stalled Clawface a bit, she still tried, yet others still frown upon the fact she was unable to stop him. She's a medicine cat for peat's sake, not a giant Hawkheart with the calling of a medicine cat and training of a warrior. It is revealed that Firepaw and Spottedleaf had a small crush on eachother, and later revealed they truely loved eachother. But, Viki confirmed that if Spottedleaf had lived that it wouldn't have worked out between the two. What's wrong with a little crush? Nothing happened between them. Spottedleaf returns in "Fire and Ice" to be a guide. She tells Firestar that there was an enemy inside the clans that he could not trust. Firestar, taking it the wrong way, though it was Graystripe, though it was really Tigerclaw. Spottedleaf later guided Firestar into his first real fight as a warrior, helping him avenge her death, though Clawface was alter killed by Graystripe because Firestar held back. Spottedleaf basically accepts the role as a guidance as of "Forest of Secrets". She reminds Firestar of the looming prophecy of, "Fire can still quench water". If I do say so myself, I think she's pretty helpful. Spottedleaf, in "Rising Storm", is yet again, guidance and a comforting character. She reminds Firestar by telling him of, "A Warrior that never sleeps". As much as she is reffering to Tigerstar, he still doesn't get it. When Yellowfang died, she had guided her to StarClan, reassuring Firestar of Yellowfang's safety. In "A Dangerous Path", Firestar asks for her guidance. Spottedleaf tells him of "The land of which blood will not be spilled." In "The Darkest Hour", Spottedleaf appears to give him his eighth life, the life of love, saying this, confirming the fact that she accepted Sandstorm and him becoming mates; "Use it well and give it to all the cats you care for—especially Sandstorm." In Moonrise, she becomes a guidance again. When Squirrelpaw had left, Spottedleaf was there to comfort Leafpaw, by telling her she was being watched by other ancestors. Spottedleaf gives her guidance and will be there whenever she needs it, confirming this by saying, "From now on, wherever you walk, I will walk with you..." She also reminds Leafpaw of which herbs and remedies to use. Spottedleaf guides Squirrelpaw during a mysterious dream to where Leafpaw and some other cats were. Squirrelpaw wanted to know where they were, and Spottedleaf showed her. Spottedleaf shows her worry for Firestar when Yellofang reveals that "Before there is peace, blood will spill blood, and the lake will run red.", wanting to know if it involved Firestar. Bluestar stated that there was nothing that Spottedleaf could do, though Spottedleaf proclaimed she'd do anything in her power to. The tortoiseshell also showed Leafpool where the perfect spot for the clan to be was. When Leafpool asks for guidance about Crowfeather, Spottedleaf talks to her and is there to comfort her. She also tells her to be "True to her heart/ follow what your heart tells you.". Some blame her for this, but this was her destiney. Leafpool becomes angry at Spottedleaf for telling her to follow her heart and asked her why she did. Spottedleaf told her that her heart lied with being medicine cat, and she had to learn what she would miss. Spottedleaf is seen guiding a confused Jaykit into StarClan after wandering off into the Dark Forest. It is revealed she still has feelings for Firestar. She tells Jaykit to accept being a medicine cat for the clan, she also warns him to never go back to the Dark Forest. Spottedleaf is later seen in StarClan with Yellowfang, grooming her. Yellowfang tells her to , "Stop trying to help everyone." Spottedleaf than says that "Truth is a powerful weapon" later on. Later on during the Power of Three, she talks to Jayfeather about his destiny. He asks her about Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. She gets furious at him. She SNARLS at the medicine cat. This is the first time we see Spottedleaf's temper snap completely on someone. Now, you see, she's not as perfect as you think. In the "Omen of the Stars" saga, she is seen argueing over who is the right cat, Dovepaw, or Ivypaw. Spottedleaf insists that it's Dovepaw because they all had the same dream when they were born. Spottedleaf and Yellowfang later take Jayfeather into the Dark Forest to see why they were training warriors. Yellowfang later leaves do to Brokenstar. Spottedleaf and Jayfeather continue to treck within the Dark Forest territory, until they ask Tigerstar why, he simply replies they want to retain they're training skills. When Jayfeather has a dream about Ivypaw being the only cat left with a bunch of dead cats around her, Spottedleaf hisses at him, and tells him she's sorry that they can't change fate. She is then briefly seen talking to Jayfeather about telling Cinderheart about her past life. In the Last Hope, the finale, she is seen discussing the battle in the prolouge with the Ancients and StarClan, she hisses at Bluestar, stating that she always believed everything she said, but she needed to convince others. Later, Jayfeather almost dies because Spottedleaf couldn;t reach him when he was sinking while trying to find Flametail. They find the other living medicine cats, and Flametail tells them that it wasn't Jayfeather's fault for his death. In her final moments we see her, she is battling against the Dark Forest. When she sees Mapleshade pinning down Sandstorm, she knew her destiny had come. She charged at Mapleshade and knocked the she-cat off of the little tabby. Mapleshade has taunted Spottedleaf asking, "Why are you doing this? Wouldn't you want me to kill the cat that stole Firestar's love from you?" Spottedleaf told her that she didn't, that Sandstorm made Firestar happy. Mapleshade rips open the tortoisehsell she-cats throat, letting her bleed out. Firestar comes over to her wailing, asking why she had to die and that she promised to be there for him in StarClan. Spottedleaf stated that, "It was never meant to be, and I can no longer journey with you anymore." Her destiny was to save Sandstorm. She opened her mouth as to save something else, but she faded.
In General; Spottedleaf was listed as one of the greatest ThunderClan medicine cats. In Secrets of the Clans, it is confirmed that she is a gifted message reader and good at pointing things out about prophecies. She also had a significant connection with StarClan. Part of her destiny was to also protect Leafpool and Squirrelflight throughout their lives.
My Overall view of Her Based on Data; To me, she isn't all that sue-ish. Her description means nothing, it's a description, and she only had one book to live, so why not let it slide? People complained about her sweet, lingering scent. She was a medicine cat, always surrounded by flowers and herbs, it could be because of that. Also, everyone says that her attitude is so "perfect", now if you look at her scenes, she starts as a Dovewing like character to a Yellowfang type of character, her personality changes throughout the series. She was also a messanger and a guidance, it was do to her prophecy, you can't blame her for it. She has love and compassion for Firestar, I think she showed more than Sandstorm ever did. She fulfilled her prophecy. She died for the sake of Firestar, her clan, and her duty in life. She was killed off so that Firestar didn't have to chose between her and Sandstorm. Spottedleaf accepted the fact that Sandstorm was Firestar's mate. I think that Spottedleaf was a well-developed character, and was generally a calm and soothing cat with an edge.
