okay, so i made a music thread, i figure i should make a book thread too. xD
post what you're reading! or your favorite books. any book discussion is welcome here. c:
i read all the time, so i'll probably end up updating this thread a lot and taking suggestions from you all.
i'm currently about 1/3rd into just after sunset, by stephen king. he's one of my favorite authors, and this book is just a collaboration of short stories.
i also just finished call down the stars by sue harrison - it's the last book in a trilogy, but it didn't throw me off even though i hadn't read the books prior to it. it was about ancient alaska xD

I just finished reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Now I'm going to finish SkyClan's Destiny since I've been slacking. After that, I'll get into Sign of the Moon, latest Warriors book.
I have TONS of favorite books. A lot of them are from my childhood. Others are recent, of course. I LOVE the Flowers in the Attic series. Own/ read em all. Very dark and disturbing to read... love it!
Read quite a bit of Dean Koontz. Love a few animal fantasies by David Clement-Davies.

Mocking was a good book, just incredibly slow-paced and generally plot-less through the good first half. If you can handle that patiently, it's a decent feel-good read.
And I knew you really were my twin. I've become obsessed with the Flowers series.
Have yet to read Watchers, but if you like, I probably would XD

i actually haven't read any warriors books since the first couple of the power of three series. i know what's going on, but the books...i'm just not into them anymore. the rp and community = <3, the series nowadays with their powers and stupid names and all? = </3 :c it hurts me insideeee what warriors has become.
i probably won't make it through mockingbird then, sun xD i suck with boring books. i give up on them early in. i tried to read the shipping news by anne proulx before starting just after sunset, and i was like ....I CAN'T DO THISSS and put it back on the shelf. it's confusing. D: NOT a good read.
the dollanganger saga is so intense, and the history behind it and all is super intricate. i cried at so many parts of those books.
watchers is about a super intelligent golden retriever xD i read it first when i was like, 8. it was the biggest book i'd read at the time, and my granjan suggested it to me. it's an awesome story.
storm - are the latter two of your books good so far?

I'm not reading anything right now, but I need a book. I just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (which is ridiculously long and filled with unneeded details) and Water for Elephants (which is awesome ♥) for school.
Do any of you guys like Jodi Picoult? The Pact is one of my favorite books by her. My Sister's Keeper is also really good - I liked the book a lot better than the movie. It's waaay different; if you liked the movie you should definitely read it.
I also like the Gone series by Micheal Grant. They're fast moving and fun to read. Something that you'd probably like if you like the Hunger Games series I guess, only they're a lot better. Stephen King reviews all of them so I guess he likes them rofl. I tried to read some of his books, too, (Salem's Lot and something about walking) but I dunno. xD

Greetings, fellow adopters!
As you may know, recently the amount of duplicate/spam topics has greatly increased, due to the large growth the site has experienced. This topic is meant to be help new users to figure out if the topics they wish to start are appropriate and do not break any rules.
First of all, as stated in the rules: NO DUPLICATE TOPICS. We already know this, but it cannot be stressed enough. DUPLICATE TOPICS WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTICE. So please, before starting a new thread, please make sure there isn't another one dealing with the same topic.
Second: Topics dealing with your personal adoptable are a perfect breeding ground for spam, and are therefore at risk of sudden locking-deletion. I understand that you are happy that you've got your first egg, or that you have finally got your egg to hatch, but please refrain from celebrating here, as such threads usually end up becoming click-trading centres.
Third: no introductions. We used to have a board for that kind of topics, but it became a huge spamfest when the game was released; furthermore, people who introduce themselves are almost always newbies who didn't read the rules yet, so please, avoid such topics.
Thank you for reading this, and happy posting.
Chronepsis.
