The breeze picked up a little, ruffling the apprentice's fur. She hissed slightly at it before composing herself and watching as the long grass waved in the breeze. After a moment, she stretched, hearing her back and joints crack from being still for so long. She needed to run, and the hunting competition would give that to her along with the fact that she would be looked up to by her fellow apprentices. Okay, maybe not, but at least she would be able to run. It had been a while since she had gone out of the camp to just run. Sighing, she looked at the other two cats, her chest puffed out a little in an arrogant fashion. She was pretty sure that she would win this competition, and if she didn't, she would do nothing about it, for it wouldn't phase her one bit.
All right, so how about, the fist one to be back here with three pieces of prey is the winner? That was Slitherpaw speaking up to announce the rules of the competition. Honeypaw nodded, looking to Snakepaw. "Sounds fair enough." She said, looking down at Snakepaw's squirrel. She rolled her eyes and watched as Slitherpaw moved to stand on another rock. only a few seconds later, though, a plump rabbit darted past. Honeypaw watched with wary eyes as Slitherpaw tried to pounce on it but slipped. A small chuckle escaped the apprentice's lips as she watched the other's failure. She wasn't laughing at her, just laughing with her. She didn't catch the she-cat's words, but her next words were spoken loud and clear. Anyways, how about that competition? Honeypaw opened her mouth to say that she'd count down when Snakepaw spoke. Okay, I'll join in. But will one of you be kind, enough to bring my squirrel to camp?
Honeypaw rolled her eyes at the tom and settled down onto her rock. "Why in the world would one of us do that for you? Seems pretty suspicious to me. Why can't you do it yourself?" Her soprano voice was accusing as she eyed the older apprentice,"Besides. All of us know that I can't go back to camp. I'd surely not be allowed out of it for the rest of the day. What fun would that be?" A devilish smile flickered across her face as she stared the male apprentice down. He knew as well as she did that he was trying to do one of two things. One: get her to go back to camp and not come back. Or two: get her to go back to camp so that he could get a head start on the competition. Her wicked smile stayed across her face as she turned her gaze to Slitherpaw, just to see what she was up to.

Slitherpaw thought a moment. If Honeypaw went back to camp, she would be stuck there. And Slitherpaw was doing such a good job; she didn’t want to ruin it! If Snakepaw went, he would have an edge with scouting. But it was very likely Honeypaw was up to something here, which made her kind of not want to go. But then again, she had her own squirrel, which also needed to be taken to camp. She mused over it a moment as Honeypaw turned to look at her. “I could do it.” She offered. “I have to take my prey back too, so it saves trouble.” She waited for Snakepaw to reply, jumping back onto the rock, determined to stay put this time. A sudden thought occurred to her. She wasn’t really sneaking out, but she hadn’t asked permission either. But if she came back with prey, Crowstar couldn’t be mad, right? She twitched her whiskers and turned her attention back to Snakepaw.

Snakepaw's fur bristled slightly at Honeypaw's remark. She seemed so lazy, and only Slitherpaw stopped him from tackling the golden she-cat and wiping that smirk off her face. His fur flattened. "Thank you very much Slitherpaw. I would greatly appreciate it," he grunted, giving an ice cold stare at Honeypaw. She didn't seem to notice, but he could tell. Honeypaw was too busy acting like the leader of the two apprentices and sharpening her claws on the rock she stood on. Slitherpaw nodded and went in search for her own prey. Snakepaw decided to climb a tree and search for a good hunting place. He leaped up, grabbing the Ash tree's branch with both front paws. He heaved himself up and looked around, searching for a place where prey was plentiful. Snakepaw looked around and saw his favorite place. The Rainbow Brook was where he was going to hunt. He loved the beautiful rocks at the bottom of the small river, and the silvery fish that swam around during the warm days of Green-Leaf. Prey liked to sun theirselves by the brook, and they were plump; big enough to feed the clan and easy to catch. Snakepaw clambered down the tree. This is a good chance to prove himself.

I'm sorry to say this, but the entire Role Play Board has been shut down temporaraly.
Both Kyarra and Dragonmystic who have been loyal and dedicated moderators of the RP Board have resigned from their position and the RP Board is left with only one new moderator which can't handle all of it by herself.
This is why I had to shut down all three boards until we find suitable replacements and instruct them on how to work in the RP board.
I'm so sorry I had cut your RPs short and leave them hanging, but we cannot have such a mess in the RP board right now. I hope you understand my decision.
I'm hoping this will be all cleared up in a week or two. So please, be patient till we find replacements.
Thank you.
~Draconis
EDIT: RP boards are opened now.
