"What! He's dead!" Dragonflower wailed. "No, not dead he was taken!" "Was Goldenpaw taken too?" "No, just Shamrockpaw. Goldenpaw ran before they could get her. "Where is she now?" "I don't I seen her since she ran off." "Two of my kits, missing!" "It's ok Dragonflower will find them." "I hope so Toothlessheart." Meanwhile deep into forest. "Hey! Look Lace we got you friend. Oh, well looky there you got two friends." "Thanks. Now I won't be lonely." "Yeah, right. Well have fun with your new friends."

"I will." Lace mewed as Howl walked away. "Ok, he's gone. Hi I'm Lace what's your name?" "Goldenpaw and this Shamrockpaw my brother." "What were those animals?" "There wild evil things called wolves they kit-napped me and killed my mom and dad. They kept alive so they could use me, as bait for their hunting trips sometimes. I'm done with this, I wish I could just run away and hide." Lace mewed.
