Dustpaw waited impatiently for his training. His new mentor, Dovewing, hadn't shown up yet, and the brown tabby was getting restless. His paw kneaded the ground anxiously.
"Where is she?" he muttered to himself. He remembered last night, when he had become an apprentice.
He had been so proud of himself. His new name, Dustpaw. He wondered what his warrior name would be. He hoped not Dustscar, for the scars he had received on his back leg, and the large cut on the back of his ear.
That would be terrible.
To be reminded every day of what had happened not so long ago, with... him.
Dustpaw shuddered, then looked around to make sure no one had seen.
Dustpaw shook his head clear of those thoughts and waited.
