Luckypaw Do I look like a freakin' people person? Four moons went quickly. It had been New-leaf when Luckypaw had become an apprentice. The young she-cat shook a bit. Maybe she should have become the medicine cat apprentice. Then she snorted a bit. That wouldn't have done. She knew that she wasn't meant to be a medicine cat, that poor little Snowpaw was. The she-cat shook her head a little. Poor thing was born with only three legs. He was lucky he survived. However it wasn't sure how long he would live. She wasn't shocked when he opted to become the medicine cat apprentice. It made sense, in her mind. Kits with disablities such as blindness, deafness or missing limbs might pass them on. Maybe Medicine cats should only be those who couldn't serve their clan in any other way. She sighed again. Even if she had become a medicine cat apprentice it wouldn't have helped. She knew this for sure. After all she had only just tasted her first fresh kill when the lump in her mother's belly had finally claimed the she-cat's life. She wasn't even sure if medicine cats could fix something like that. Her mentor had sent her out hunting. "Not like I'm going to catch anything." she groused, however kept on walking. "At least I only leave camp when I'm told to. Unlike some apprentices. I wonder if he managed to sneak out last night. Sure seemed tired this morning. Of course he could just be learning from his mentor." She chuckled a bit.

Slitherpaw crept through the tall grasses quietly. She was creeping, trying not to be caught by any patrols. She was pretty sure she wasn’t meant to be out right now, but being trapped in camp drove her crazy, no matter what camp it was. She wanted to have a good feel of her new territory. She still didn’t know how a cat was meant to catch a RABBIT, of all things. Especially since she seemed to be slower lately, even being so early on. It was a strange feeling, really. Not only was she pregnant, she was in a whole new clan. She didn’t know anyone except Leopardpaw right now. So, she had come out for three reasons. One, to explore a little. Two, to try to learn to hunt all the new prey. Three, to see if she couldn’t make a new friend. Hopefully, she could accomplish something with this day. She jumped as a rabbit darted right past her. She thought about giving chase, but decided against it. She would never have caught the fast little creature anyway. So, goal two went un-finished so far. Not the best start to the day. She tried to look on the bright side of things, though. At least she hadn’t been kicked out. At least she got to see Leopardpaw whenever she wanted. At least— Her thoughts were cut off as she heard a cat not far from her, coming closer. Whoever it was seemed to be muttering to themselves. Slitherpaw froze as the cat caught site of her.

Honeyfur walked around the moor, searching for rabbits. Hey, just because she was the Medicine Cat, they needed to learn to hunt, too. A plump rabbit sat on the ground, nibbling the grass. It's back was turned and the wind was blowing her scent away from the rabbit. She shot out, catching the prey by suprise and killing it with a bite to the neck. Thank StarClan for this prey, to help feed our clan and keep it alive, she thought, picking up her fresh-kill. She picked up her fresh-kill and started to bury it. A new scent wafted up Honeyfur's nose. Hmm, what's this? A cat in hiding? she thought, smiling smugly. She finished burying her rabbit. Honeyfur pretended to be hunting for more rabbits, when one shot by. Chasing it, she snagged it's tail and tumbled over, breaking the rabbit's back bone. The scent got stronger and she got an idea. Honeyfur stalked the strange scent, hoping to suprise the cat.

Luckypaw Do I look like a freakin' people person? Luckypaw looked up, her tail flicking a bit. Then she wrinkled her nose and flattened her ears back against her skull. MarshClan. The scent assailed her nostrils. The she-cat stopped her hunting and turned to pad off in the direction of the cat she scented. The she-cat charged at the queen. "What are you doing here?" she snarled. Then she paused. "oh, it's you she said. "Code breaking vixen." She spat. "You should be back in camp, or are you so addicted to breaking the rules that you have to sneak out of our camp." she paused, her tail lashing about. "Or are you sneaking back to your own camp to give our secerets away. Is that what you planned all along?" As she was berating the poor she-cat her ears picked up the sound of someone else. She turned around and flicked her tail. It was the medicine cat. "Hello Honeyfur." she mewed, inclining her head politely. How are you doing?" she asked, smiling softly. "What do you make of this she-cat sneaking out while she's heavy with kit." she said, her eyes narrowed.

Facing the two cats, she was completely speechless. She recognized Luckypaw and Honeyfur, easily. But, she had never met either of them, and no one in camp except Maskedstar knew her and Leopardpaws secret. To say she was confused would be an understatement. She flicked her ear as Luckypaw turned and spoke to Honeyfur. “Hello Honeyfur." she mewed, “How are you doing?" she asked, "What do you make of this she-cat sneaking out while she's heavy with kit?” While Slitherpaw didn’t appreciate her talking as if she couldn’t hear her, she held her tongue. It was, however, difficult. Not only was she wondering how in the world Luckypaw knew her secret, she felt her accusations unfair. Nonetheless, she just sat and waited on Honeyfur to speak. Many worried thoughts ran through her head. Would Luckypaw tell Honeyfur? Did Honeyfur already know? Would either of them tell anyone else? How did Luckypaw even know? Needless to say, she could cross another goal off her list. She definitely didn’t seem to be making friends as the moment. She sat down, wondering what would happen. What would happen if the clan found out about her and Leopardpaw? What would they do? Kick both of them out? She chased away negative thoughts and turned her attention back to the other cats.

Honeyfur swished her tail. She knew about Slitherpaw's secret, because she was the Medicine Cat after all. Honeyfur thought for a moment, tilting her head slightly to the side. "I think you should be back in the Nursery, Slitherpaw," she finally said. It was dangerous to have a she-cat with kits to wander about. Yes, Slitherpaw was still young, but she should know that it was not a safe world. Many enemies could wander the territory, finding the next pefect meal. When they spot Slitherpaw, nothing will be able to stop them from tearing her apart. The thought made Honeyfur shiver. She glanced at the two apprentices. "Well, I think both of you should go back to camp," Honeyfur said. She wrapped her tail around her paws and waited for an answer.

Luckypaw Do I look like a freakin' people person? Luckypaw half closed her eyes and flicked her ears back. Go back to camp? She had been sent out by her mentor to find prey. She wasn't returning just because the medicine cat said she had to. "I'm hunting, like my mentor insisted so." She mewed. "I think I'll stay out here." She puffed her chest out. "Slitherpaw." she said, eyeing the queen. The milk scent was strong off of her. "You should go back to the camp if you know what's good for you and for your half clan bastard kits." She snapped. "Of course, it would be better if they never exisited. You should have stayed in MarshClan." She growled. She didn't trust Slitherpaw. Her eyes flashed. "I'm going to continue hunting." she added. "You can trust your useless mate to hunt for you. He's just as bad as his mentor." The she-cat cat seemed to vanish into the tall grass. Only her scent remained. Good riddance. Those two would be trouble for the whole clan. And she hoped to StarClan that she didn't end up mentoring one of the little brats. Her tail lashed a bit more as she began sneaking up on a rabbit. Calm, Luckypaw. Don't let your anger get to you. Anger is not the way of a warrior.
