Slitherpaw was sitting in camp, feeling antsy, shifting her paws once in a while. She wished to sun would just move a bit faster, and let the moon take over. It felt a bit to bright, and a bit to warm,but then, it was greenleaf. That wasn't why she was so impatient though.
She wanted the moon to come up, so she could sneak out of camp to the abandoned two-leg house. There, Leopardpaw would be waiting for her. True, he was Breezeclan, and true, she was breaking more than one rule. she had, however, long ago thrown out the rules.
She had come to rely on the night-time meetings. They gave her something to look forward to throughout the day. She was stuck as an apprentice for now, but so was Leopardpaw, He understood. And he did not judge her, as most cats did.
Not only that, she had news to tell him. Good news or bad news, she wasn't sure. But, boy, was it news. There were decisions to be made, and she couldn't make them on her own.
So, the rest of they day she spent lost in a bit of a daze, deep in thoughts. Churning thoughts. She did a few random chores that someone told her to, though she wasn't sure who exactly. After what felt like moons, the moon was hanging high in the sky.
She crept out of camp as usually, not meeting any challenge. She raced through the forest and marsh, finding herself a bit more out of breath than usual. That was to be expected though, yes? Still, she didn't stop until she reached the familiar hill.
She sat and waited for the familiar shape of a certain Breezeclan cat to appear.

Leopardpaw had managed to sneak out on the pretence of hunting for prey. He knew his lazy scut of a mentor wouldn't be checking up on him. This was the only exciting part of his day, meeting with Slitherpaw. He had something to ask her. Something important. She seemed miserable by herself, in her own clan. He was miserable in his, or at least apart from her. The tom flicked both his ears back. He would make a crummy MarshClan warrior. His long legs made him a great hunter of rabbits. He carried one as he ran to the old two-leg nest. There she was, sitting in the hillock as always.

His bright eyes fixed on her. "Slitherpaw." he mewed. "There you are, my sweet." he said. "I brought you some fresh kill. I hope you like rabbit. It's such a sweet tender meat." he told her and he dropped the still warm prey at her feet. "You look worried love. What is it?" He sat next to her and gently curled his tail around her. "You can tell me, you can tell me anything." he told her, flicking his long ears back. "You know that right?"

Slitherpaw nodded. True, she knew she could tell him anything. And besides, it wasn't as if she wasn't planning on telling him anyway. He had to know. Absolutely, had to.
So, preying to the moon for guidance. she looked into his eyes. His perfect, deep eyes.
"How do you feel about kits?" She asked, her voice shockingly steady. Many thoughts still chased around in her head, but she had to put them aside. One problem seemed to come up continuously.
Would she have the kits in camp and raise them as Marshclan? Or would she have them outside of camp, and have Leopardpaw raise them as Breezeclan? It was a tough choice, and Leoppardpaw had just as much say in ti as her.
So, she waited anxiously for him to respond, her antsy feelings from earlier that day coming back to her.

The tom had been licking her shoulder gently when she asked his opinion on kits. He stopped in mid lick and slowly blinked at her. Then he let out a quick series of mrts that served as a cat's laugh. "Kits?" he asked. "I think they're small, and noisy, and ask many questions." he said frankly. "Why would you want to know my opinion on ki-" He paused, comprehension slowly dawning on his face. Then his eyes grew wide and both ears dropped down lower than ever before. His jaw grew slightly slack and his shoulders slumped. "kits." he managed to squeak. "k-kits.. our kits..." he babbled, stammering and stripped of his smoothness.

The tom stood up. "Come back with me to BreezeClan." he mewed. "the kits will be better off in BreezeClan. Maskedstar is noble and good, and kind. His brother may be a lazy scut, but at least he's a good cat. He'll understand." the tom said, sounding every bit the gentleman. "I'll hunt hares, rabbits, and ground birds for you every day so that our kits grow big and strong." he paused. "And I'll groom you until your fur shines bright as the full moon, so it matches your sun like eyes."

Slitherpaw twitched her whiskers in suprise. She has prepeared for many responses, but that was not one of them. To say the idea wasnt appealing would be a lie. She certainly did like the idea.
To be near Leopardpaw all the time? Not only Leopardpaw, but her kits as well. To stay in Marshclan would make things harder, no?
And yet, she wasnt so sure she could just drop everything and go. There would be awkward questions, and rumors. It wouldnt take long for word to get around. It was a life-changing desision, and she wasnt sure she could make it. At least not right now. Could she?
"I dont know, Leopardpaw. I trust you, I do." She said, "But, how do I know Maskedstar will understand?" She thought very carefully, beofre a (rather daring) idea came to her. "If you think Maskedstar can keep a scecret, why dont we... ask? We can go back to your camp tomorrow, and try to catch him on his own." It may not be the best idea, but it was the only one she had.

The tom paused and looked at her, his gaze steady. "How will your mentor treat halfclan kits?" he asked her. "I don't think he would be to happy with the idea. And it would be obvious that they're half clan." He flicked his tail. "I mean, how many other cats look like me. Well, aside from my siblings. However, they're not nearly as handsome as I am." He chuckled a bit and looked at her. "And if you stayed in MarshClan. I don't know if Crowstar would have me." he sighed at her a bit. "And then I wouldn't be able to care for you. "Come away to BreezeClan with me love. I don't think I can spend one more day without you." he mewed. "Every day I toss and turn and just wait for the moments that I steal away with you my sweet." He paused. "Don't you understand what I'm saying? I love you."

She didn't know what made her do it, but Slitherpaw nodded slowly. No, she did know what made her do it. It was his dark eyes, his deep voice, and his slender body. It was the fact that she knew how he felt exactly; how much she loved him.
"Yes, I love you too." She whispered. "And, I will go to breezeclan." This was it; her last chance. There was no going back now. And yet, the feelings bubbling up inside her were not regret. It was excitement and nerves mixed. The prospect of a new life loomed in front of her; a new life with Leopardpaw, where they didn't have to sneak away to be together.
She looked in the direction of camp. She would miss it, sure. She would miss her clan-mates, even Honeypaw. But, they would still see each other at gatherings. It wouldn't be the same, but it was worth it. It was more than worth it!
"So, shall we go then?" She asked. She would have liked to say goodbye first, but it wouldn't be possible. No way did she feel like making up excuses and explanations. She was ready to go; now.

Finally Dragonadopters has arrived!

After 8 months of hard work, me and Thaz proudly present Dragonadopters game officialy open!

I hope you all enjoy this game and please advertise your dragons around the forums and other sites so Dragonadopters becomes more popular.


Now I'll inform you about some last minute updates and added features, including useful information and some answers to your popular questions.

There will be a donate button for the game, but we're still not sure how we'll program it. We'll put it sometime later.

Dragon names. Two people may have a dragon with the same yes, but you can't have your own two dragons with the same name.

Dragon element. There are 4 elements and that's that. You can choose between two options:
One: I want to choose the element of my dragon.
Two: I want my dragon element to be random.
You'll be able to do this once your dragon hatches, only then you're able to know your dragons element.

Dragon lottery. This is a completely new feature Thaz added and I believe it's gonna be great.
Basicaly on every persons dragon there will be a little game of chance inside. You can win resources this way AND visit other peoples dragons which helps them grow faster.
There are certain limits of course, you can play maximum 5 lotteries per 24 hours and after you played a lottery on one dragon, nobody else can play on the same dragon for the next 12 hours. This helps so that people don't overdo it.
Of course you can't play lottery on your own dragons.

You can read more about the lottery in the Game Guide. It should also answer most of your questions. Also refer to the FAQ.

Dragon descriptions are not done yet. They will be displayed for Western and Eastern dragons, but others are still not done. We'll do them as soon as we can.


We have affiliation with Pokeplushies and Whimpsters so far. That means you can advertise your adoptables from those sites in our special Adoptables Lair. Please read the Introduction to Advertising before posting anything there.
However, Dragon Cave administrator has not answered yet and we don't have an official affiliation with them, so I cannot allow DragonCave dragons in the Adoptables Lair.
The Adoptables Lair is officialy opening today.
You're still free to advertise ANY adoptables in your signatures, as long as it abides by the new rules.

Please read the RULES because there were some minor changes added to them.

If you have problems with the game or aren't sure what to do, then refer to the FAQ and Game Guide. We made some changes, so you better check it out.


On a final note, here is a thank you to the people who were apart of the developing team, though mostly it was me and Thaz. lol Still, we're both very proud of this game.
