Not at all. I agree.
I feel like I'm really putting the book down. If the book comes in my library, I'll try it out. I have to remember that the excerpt started with chapter 4. Maybe it's better from the beginning. *shrugs*.

I'm not going to bash you all for expressing your opinion, but honestly, your all freaking out a bit too much over the whole 'Oh no, it not OUR 'Erins'!' Face it, you've outgrown Warriors. I finished the first series and loved it, then a year later, I matured. I bought Midnight and through the whole thing, it was awfully boring. I got over halfway, and it was still boring. "Oh no!! Squirrelpaw is stuck under a fence! Whatever are we going to do???" It was just... boring. I read a bit of the excerpt and found it very similar to Warriors. The way it was written and all. I'm not saying Warriors is bad, it's just for a different age group. Sorry if this made no sense.
