Returning home (Lilyblaze/Open)

[Night]

Nightfeather struggled into camp, blood dripping off of her pelt onto the sand below her paws. Her muscles screamed with the effort, and her body ached from ear to tail-tip. Lilyblaze was supported against her side. The poor she-cat was so exhausted she could hardly stand, and Nightfeather knew she had to get her to the medicine cats as soon as possible. The last few steps through the entrance were difficult for Nightfeather. She gritted her teeth with anger, pushing herself to go the last few steps. Finally they slid into camp. It was quiet, as most cats were sleeping at this time of night. Nightfeather could hear the soft snores of the other cats, and she relaxed a bit. "We're home, Lilyblaze." Nightfeather purred weakly. Carefully, she laid Lilyblaze on the ground, and fell down beside her. Nightfeather could feel herself on the verge of blacking out. I must have lost too much blood. Nightfeather snickered to herself. She knew she had to alert someone that they were here. Using her last bit of energy, Nightfeather yowled, "Someone help us! Please!" before closing her glowing amber eyes. Then everything went black.

Lilyblaze

Lilyblaze had struggled the whole way home, loosing blood each step of the way. Each time she had moved had agonized her, as her wounds rubbed and reopened. Her long white fur was matted with dirt and blood, turning it a unattractive brown colour. Her eyes flicked to Nightfeather. "D-don't leave me!" she mewed as Nightfeather blacked out. "Please. Don't leave me!" she yowled pitifully. "Oh Nightfeather." The she-cat whimpered, laying beside her friend. "I love you, please stay with me. I don't want to loose you." She mewed. "I don't want to loose you, you mean far too much to me." Tears were streaming down her muzzle, turning the dirt and dried blood on her face to a muddy mess.

Despite being safe in camp Lilyblaze couldn't relax. The darkness loomed over her, but she fought it. That murderous monster of a tom could be anywhere. He lurked in the shadows at the corner of her vision. His scent was on the air. She could see him, his face looming infront of her. His voice was on the wind. That hypnotic voice, hypnotic and demonic. Something smooth as thistle down. It had made her want to obey, to listen. But there was something twisted in it, something horrid. It still filled her with fear as she heard his words over and over again in her head. "S-somebody... help us. Please, anybody..." She cried.

[Stormfire]

Stormfire had been eating his meal in peace, alone, when the two battered, bloody, she-cats stumbled into the camp. The deputy immediately jumped to his paws. "Buzzardstar!" He called franticaly. Hurrying over to the injured cats, he saw drops of blood falling from their pelts. "What happened?!" He demanded quickly. "Were you attacked by another clan?! A loner? A rogue?"

These were the first major injuries he'd seen since he'd joined the clan. They were losing huge amounts of blood.. OF COURSE! He scolded himself for not calling for the medicine cat. "Sunpelt!" He beckoned. "Nightfeather and Lilyblaze are hurt!" He saw more and more cats beggining to stare at the two injured cats, obviously shocked and horrified.

I think I would be a good contest organizer because I love to help out with events, and help other people. DrA is the site I'm most active on, and helping you guys out with contests would mean alot. Even though I have never run a contest on DrA before, I believe I can do the job right. =)
I don't draw very much, but I love writing. Writing is probably one of my favorites things to do. I would love to help out with any writing contests you have planned, and I would happily share any ideas I have for future contests. Thank you for reading my application. ^^
