Chapter 3
Graystar was there to greet them, when Spottail's rescue patrol walked in.
"Oh, great StarClan what happened?"
"I'll tell you when we get back from the medicine cat den!" Hopeshade yowled over shoulder as she ran toward the medicine cat den, where Fadingechos was waiting for them.
"Bring her right in."
Angelflight and Pinecone slowly walked in and carefully placed Spottail on the moss bed, where the medicine cats could take care of her.
Meanwhile a golden she-cat was looking down at them, sighing while she walked to her friend. "What's this world coming to?"
"I don't know, Lightbridge- I mean, these wolves will do anything to get cats."
"I know, Sunheart, I mean, it's awful. Sometimes I can’t stop thinking about Lace. She's working for the wolves just to keep alive. Where's your brother, Stonefeet?"
"He's with Gemcolor, his new friend."
"He has a new friend?" Sunheart asked.
Blinking her eyes, Lightbridge nodded. "Yes, but I would call her his mate. He's with her all the time!" Lightbridge hissed.
"What's wrong with that?"
"I think he loves her."
"What?!"
"I know, it's crazy, Sunheart. He doesn't understand that cats in StarClan can't have kits."
Sunheart was about to say something when Stonefeet walked in. "Hi, guys."
"Oh, hi Stonefeet."
"Hi. So, what are you guys doing?"
"Chatting about the wolves and stuff."
"Okay, see ya later."
"Bye."
"Wow, I don't know what the leaders will say to this."
"Me neither, Sunheart."
