Smeared black ink, your palms are sweaty
And I'm barely listening to last demands
I'm staring at the asphalt wondering what's buried underneath
Where I am
I'll wear my badge, a vinyl sticker with big block letters adherent to my chest
That tells your new friends I am a visitor here
I am not permanent
And the only thing keeping me dry is
Where I am

Name: Charlotte
Gender: She-cat
Age: 18 Moons
Clan: Loner
Kin: Carolina [sister ; residence unknown]
Short Description: A thick-furred tortoiseshell she-cat with large emerald eyes
Physical Description: Charlotte's a very attractive she-cat to the foreign eye. She has an air of beauty about her, but in a way that is not stereotypically what comes to mind when you say 'pretty'. Her coat base consists of a smokey-shaded ebony. Her dark fur is quite thick and very resistant to water and the like, and she keeps it well groomed. Throughout her pelt she's dappled with a bright, vivid orange that thickens into a crest on her chest, and consumes one of her toes on her front left paw. Her stature is not large, but she has a stocky frame that makes her appear bigger than she is. Her legs are short and wide, as is her fluffy tail. Charlotte's muzzle is short and black, and her nose holds the same color, giving it an odd ghostly appearance. Her eyes are disproportionately large above it, and are like emerald moons, bright against her dark fur.
Personality: Charlotte is, in a word, cryptic. She is very dark and slow in her mumblings, and it's a very realistic possibility for her to leave an almost scary impression on any younger cats she may come across. Charlotte is quiet, but will speak up when she is asked her opinion. Don't ask, don't tell, is a quote she lives by on a day to day basis. She isn't hard to get along with, but many cats don't have relationships with her due to her inability to keep a conversation. Charlotte has never yearned for clanlife, or terribly missed having a companion. She survives alone, and with one or two cats around at the most. As long as she has air, somewhere warm to sleep, and food close by, she doesn't need the help of anyone else. Getting attached to other cats is a weakness. Come and go, drift with the wind, and keep your head down. Keep your nose in your own business, she'll tell you at any given chance. Meddlers bother the she-cat, and she will get very intense in her arguing if you get into her business. She has no belief in any afterlife, and avoids the subject around cats who do.
RP Sample: Snowflakes scattered from the crisp, dark sky as the sun began to rise in the east. Another snow? White flecks of frozen water landed almost tauntingly on Charlotte's back as she awoke. Her emerald irises drifted up toward the sky, and she blinked harshly at it, as if willing it to quit. She hated winter. She hated every season, though, for different reasons. Too much noise in spring, and it reeked of pollen. Too hot in summer, and the idea of the sun beating on her thick fur made the she-cat want to cringe. In the fall, there was leaves that crackled as she walked and scared away prey. And in winter, oh how she dreaded it, it would snow and drop in temperature until the she-cat was forced to find shelter. And where there was shelter, there was company. Charlotte hated company, too. But alas, here she was, in an old shed-like warehouse, blundled up in the corner with snow falling through a previously unnoticed hole in the cieling. "Great." She mumbled cynically as she stood, knowing she couldn't just escape without at least thanking the cats for allowing her to rest here. Padding toward two seemingly happy-go-lucky felines, she felt very out of place and very negative in perspective to them. "Thank you for the warm nest." The pretty tortoiseshell said under her breath, though she slept on the cold concrete without a nest, and it was not warm in the least. She flicked her thick tail at the thought, and shrugged it off. It was better than outside.

You seem so out of context in this gaudy apartment complex
A stranger with your door key explaining that I am just visiting
And I am finally seeing
Why I was the one worth leaving
The district sleeps alone tonight after the bars turn out their lights
And send the autos swerving into the loneliest evening
And I am finally seeing
Why I was the one worth leaving
