Overview

The new site must be more true to the books then most sites are. The Clans are very hostile to one another and to those who are of less-then perfect blood. The warriors are very picky about how is in their Clan and who isn't. Kittypets and loners are looked down on, as are those with 'bad-blood'.

To be clear on this, a cat cannot kill a dog, fox, badger or any other huge opponent. The most they can do is appear in great numbers and attempt to drive the creature out of there land. Kits who venture out on there own will be punished by their parents when they return.

Plot

A single prophecy. Four young Warriors, living in a forest of secrets and lies. The four young warriors yield a great power in their paws. The destiny of these four special warriors draws nearer every day. As dose judgment day for all the Clans...

It has been long since Firestar, and the legend of the great cat still runs strong in all Clans. The four Clans have been living peacefully among themselves. But this is only to calm before the storm. Troubling signs are everywhere, the medicine cats are at a loss...And tensions are beginning to run high among the Clans. The Clans, the forest, and the warrior code itself are all put to the ultimate tests. Strange things will happen, some more mysterious then others. History will come back to hunt the Clans with happenings from Firestar's time, and even long before then. Loyalties, friendships and character will all be tested in the warriors. Many of the cats also have secrets and pasts. And some secrets are worth killing to keep, while others are best left alone. Betrayal, promises, and death are everywhere! Fallow the prophecies, live by the code, and embrace your great destiny!

Alright ladies and gentlemen, please do not be an ignoramus about this announcement!

You may have noticed a new forum with two new sub-boards under the General category entitled as "Quizzes". All quiz-type threads which are made for the past three (3) months will be transferred to the new sub-forum. As for those which were made for more than three months, and has 70+ pages, they will be deleted (not moved to the Removed Topics). Only the quiz-type threads here in the General Discussion forum will be transferred there as of now. We will implement this on both Dragon Adopters Chat and on the General Forum (meaning Music/Media/Games would be included).

We are doing this because we have observed that members have started to make these insignificant topics wherein it is obvious that the aim is the post count + ranking. It also clutters up the whole forum, and we would like to make Dragon Adopters a safe, orderly and clean forum.

Anyone caught posting quiz-type threads as of today, November 30, 2009, the thread will be moved to the appropriate board and will be given a reminder (mini-warning). If you are persistent, we will give you 5% warn!

To those who wonder what Quiz Threads look like:
Quiz threads are defined by us generally as:

1. Topics posting quizzes/quiz results.
2. Topics which have very short answers - "what's your favorite color", etc.
3. Topics which do not provoke thought, meaningful responses, or discussion.

Sounds a bit patronizing and exasperated. You shouldn't speak down to people.

You can't accept that not everyone loves your favorite character, so you think it's your job to try to convert everyone.

You're sort of being a bit rude here.

But here's the thing.

What you're doing isn't just obnoxious, it's downright rude.

It's a good idea to show that it's rude, but don't fight fire with fire. Try to be polite and courteous when you say, "Hey, maybe you could calm down a bit?"

How would you like it if I came on every thread you've posted on and told you to love Mapleshade? I'm guessing you'd be pretty annoyed, maybe even ready to go into an all-caps rage on me. I'm pretty sure the people on this board you haven't driven away are tired of reporting you, so I'd recommend that you accept the opinions of others.

Pretty true, but the whole "I'd recommend" thing sounds patronizing. Maybe "It's better to..."

That's okay. The entire post was a bit patronizing--speaking to the OP as equal and just saying that they should be politer with maybe some emoticons as well would be a better idea.
